At the school all our teachers are qualified...
...and registered with at least one internationally recognised exam board. We follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for ballet ( www.rad.org.uk ) and Imperial Society for Teachers of Dance for Modern and Tap ( www.istd.org ). Both are widely considered the best in their field.Classical Ballet - The creative syllabus provided by the RAD has been designed to help develop children's physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality as well as provide a solid foundation for future work. All the while the children are developing the core strength and technique that will enable them to progress through the grades and develop the artistry, performance and technique required for ballet.
Modern - The children really enjoy these fun and imaginative syllabuses, set to lively music. They develop their flexibility and strength along with performance, and are encouraged to adapt to different styles of dance and music.
Tap - Tap dancing encourages rhythmic development and helps the to develop style and precise footwork. The syllabus includes steps, combinations and dances as well as the children creating their own patterns and steps.
Jazz - A really popular 'non-syllabus' class with routines and dances set to the latest chart music.
All classes are held at Old Church House, Western Road, Tring. Herts. Hp23 4BT
